Corse is a rural parish about four miles east of Newent, set on the stretch of land between the River Severn and the River Leadon in Gloucestershire. Its mainly 14th-century St Margaret's Church stands beside Corse Court, a moated former manor house, while Corse Lawn recalls the wooded hunting chase that once covered the area. In the 1840s the Chartists built a settlement of smallholdings at Snig's End.
